This morning…watching a video about a Zen master…I looked at the assembly in my view….and it hit me….I think it’s the way to go….and it’s below the floor, above the Fusion Core…where there is a fair amount of room…..I’ll elaborate at a future date….

I built this kit, included lights, sounds, phaser array, I went all out. The amount of issues that i ran into were crazy. There’s close to 1400 windows on this thing and I cut them all out. I had to contact Simon about an issue at one point. It took me 5 kits, 2 photoetch sets, 2 paragraphics decal sets, 18 months and close to £1600. and it all because I saw what Simon did with the 1:650 version of this ship. It’s a monster. If I knew how to I’d share the final pics with it. im particularly proud of the shuttle bay bay feature I put in mine.

I’ve just started uploading my files to my profile. I’ll also sort out my profile pic. I’ll link a video of the completed thing including custom base ) that i built to house everything, lights, sounds in the forum. I love it, but know where the imperfections are with it, but after 18 months on a 19″ model i really appreciate sleek the E is, and just how good at your craft you are. But there were times i wanted to scrap it, hence 5 kits….. It may have helped had i had done something simpler like the conny Enterprise as I had NEVER built a kit before, never mind lit and put sound in. It was a learning experience. I’m now on my 3rd Enterprise (the’C’) i plan to have a full set…. I blame you Simon, for the excellent job you did with the big one, Because after seeing that I had to have a “pretty-pretty” too!

Well…..I can’t help doing my best…just do the best you can do…we all get better over time, can’t rush the process…

Noticed several attempts to upload videos you did failed. For now, videos cannot exceed 100mb in size, about 2 mins or less, Tom is working on a way to post longer ones.

Make sure your videos are no more than 100mb..ideally I make mine between 50 to 70mb to make them load faster…

It is really far clearer…I’m pleased with that. The bird is so sweet, Ming really made the Summer very special. Have great week as well…

Papa Smurf…. It’s possible to do the landing legs with mini actuators… I think…

Why don’t you try with mini actuators Papa Surf?
I think that’s the way to go instead of clockwork hardware!

    Simon,
You could operate the landing gear with 3 micro servos attached directly to each legs hinged area.
Being that they are not holding up any weight, they would operate fine.

That’s almost exactly the system designed….but not in the wells, over the Fusion Core…linear actuator/servo, three of them….thanks for the input!
