Technique demo! Hurray! I honestly really miss those from your older builds. Stuff like weathering is great especially, since it’s essentially very basic and easy IF you’ve seen somebody doing it, but very daunting if you try to figure it out on your own. And I think it was close to 9 years ago that your “E” build and Apoxie Sculpt demo got me hooked on your projects. Cool stuff.

On a purely subjective note, I’d like to make a small comment on one piece of music you often include in your videos, the solo piano piece. It’s very lovely, but the key and pacing give whatever scene you use it in a kind of subdued and somber feeling that doesn’t match your display of enthusiasm for your work. Maybe like a gearhead doing a performance rebuild with Bach’s “Air on G” as the soundtrack. Anyway, it’s your creative choice of course, just thought I’d add some input.

By the way, that base looks awesome. The tile idea is very clever and your addition of the motorized turrets will definitely make this a very dynamic display. Can’t wait to see those Tie fighters come together! Hope you feel better soon and fingers crossed about mold (not fun)

Hi! Well on the music…I choose it strictly on emotional response…and if it has a SF theme. I rather like just about everything I use…but your allowed to have an opinion…no problem there.

Tutorials are fun…and I enjoy doing them…but I have so much competition these days, it makes it hard to share a lot. Builders who are willing to sell for far less than I, watch these as well, and use that technique on their builds to compete with me. It is a bit of a conundrum…

But I appreciate the overall positive comment you posted….thanks!

Thanks for the Tutorial Papa Smurf. I really appreciated it. As always, fantastic work.
Quick question: did you sealed the model before applying the weathering?

    You have a nice week.

Glad you liked it…and no…I don’t seal the Hull until after the paint is applied…your sealing the paint…and pigment dust in with it. But…I always seal bfore applying decals…to maximize adhesion…and then seal them n with a topcoat…
